Pangbourne Bowls Club was founded in 1922.

In 2022 we celebrated our 100th Anniversary with a Centenary celebration for members, past and present and other guests, including Sir Alok Sharma, Member of Parliament for Reading West, seen here raising our new Centenary flag

Bowling is a marvellous hobby for all ages – fresh air and exercise, friendly fellow bowlers and the opportunity to play both socially in the club and competitively against other clubs. On Open Day the club welcomes not only beginners but also the more experienced and those who may have played other sports and are considering a change of hobby.

You don’t need to live in Pangbourne to join the club – we have members from many nearby villages and areas. Once you join coaching is available and a variety of opportunities to bowl, as the club plays mixed teams, ladies only and men only matches against other local clubs, in friendlies and local leagues. In addition there are club competitions every Monday afternoon and throughout the season. Very quickly you will feel at home sharing and discussing your hobby with other friendly bowlers.

The subscription for a new member is only £50 for the year. The green is at the far end of the recreation ground to the left of the tennis courts and the pavilion.

The club is keen to recruit new members. Could you be one of them?
